Inside Mickey’s Hat is a little homage to Blu.  The same coffin that Blu was painting over at MOCA’s wall before it got  buffed over..

Hey DJ, have you been keeping track of 1200’s price lately? Guitar Center no longer is offering them and they are now 1000 Quid for new ones. You can still find second hand ones at regular second hand prices but I don’t know how long that’s gonna last… Mentioned before here

If you see this sign you’ve made a wrong turn somewhere.. The good o’Blue Star is right next to the edge of nowhere and borders all the inner workings of the not so glamorous Los Angeles denim industry..  If your coming from the depths of nowhereland the Blue Star could be a sign of relief but for your average person it’s a sign that signals a thought you’ve definitely made a wrong turn somewhere…

Got a message from my home girl Jacie at Nike.

She had an extra two tickets to the Lakers (2010 Back to Back Champions) season game opener against the Houston Rockets,

which also entailed the championship ring ceremony and the raising of the 2009-2010 championship flag.

It was an awesome game!  We came from behind for the clutch win in the fourth quarter.  High fives all around.

Final: Los Angeles Lakers 112 – Houston Rockets 110

Bless your heart Jacie.

Going to a Laker game is always exciting and sometimes a little funny..

Where else can you watch world championship basketball and be able to see, Jack Nicholson, Denzel Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, Arsenio Hall, Polow da Don, Penny Marshall, Justin Bebier, Jaden Smith, dude from Entourage (insert laugh), Paul Rodriguez, the list goes on……

(all whom were at the game.)

Vans Syndicate

Had lunch with long time homie Rian over at Vans.. He’s one of the guys that helped launch the Vans Syndicate segment.
After a Hawaiian lunch he walked me through the Vans office building and took me to the Vans Syndicate Wall of Fame..
Then we proceeded to a secret back area where he has a huge locker packed with goodies.
The locker is full of cool stuff that he’s complied from all the projects he’s worked on over the years..

Remake of a vintage French Marine Commando smock out of Indochina. During the French Indochina War (1946–1954)

“Operation Castor to the Death!”

Really good catching up with you Rian, thanks for the box of goodies.

Beautiful Butterfly

I’ve been seeing this huge beautiful butterfly swooping around my place for the last couple of weeks.. I don’t know if this is the exact butterfly I’ve been admiring. I only have been able to admire it from afar.. I’d like to think so…

A couple of days a ago it was laying rest right in front my door. It was taken back how beautiful and peaceful it looks just laying there..

I’d like to think it knew I liked it..  I’m going to frame it shortly and hang it on my wall.

Thank you Beautiful Butterfly.
